Heath Ledger.  Nice guy!  We were at this party, joking around.  I thought it would be funny to see which of us could down more prescription medications over the course of three hours.  He pretty much PWND me, lolz!!  But then Heath wasn't feeling so good and decided to head home.  Gave him my email, we were gonna go play some ski-ball sometime.  Never heard back from him tho :(

Defeating Mothra.  Or was that Godzilla?

No, pretty sure it was Bush.

I'd rather be nude.  Totally nude.

Unfortunately, the managers at the Olive Garden will not permit this.

The final episodes of Battlestar Galactica begin today. The sci-fi drama often explores the relationship between humans and machines. At what point do we consider a machine with artificial intelligence to be an individual with its own feelings and rights?

(no subject) [Jan. 14th, 2009|10:41 pm]

[discussing my recent piece for Ninjalistics, in which David Hasselhoff has been recruited as a corporate spokesperson]

APV:  Is that where the "turbo boost" joke comes from?

Scola:
  From Knight Rider? Of course!!!

Scola:  Turbo Boost is to Knight Rider what the Paddles were to the first season of ER.  However, just in case, might want to link "turbo boost" to this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=arL04K3HLMw

APV:  So Turbo Boost means using ramps, I see.  Man, this car could hardly stay on the ground.

Scola:  Strictly speaking the Turbo Boost is a special function of KITT that allowed it to jump up in the air.  It was really the most appealing part of every episode.

APV:  I like the nonchalant way he fingers the Turbo button.

Scola:  THATS WHAT SHE SAID!

APV:  Now, correct me here, but wasn't the idea of the show that the car was intelligent?

Scola:  Well. Yes.

APV:  Did it even need a driver?

Scola:  This is a good question.

Scola:  However not all crimes can be resolved by a car. You need someone to infiltrate hideouts and beat up on the bad guys.

APV:  But it's unclear why you need David Hasselhoff to push the Turbo Boost button.

Scola:  It's a valid point. You can make a solid case for the fact that KITT really should have driven itself.

APV:  [still watching video] Crap, this car got into a lot of jams.

Scola:  That's for sure!

APV:  God, he drives into a third-floor apartment.

Scola:  Lazy bastard. Try using the stairs for once, asshole.

APV:  Man, Hasselhoff got thrown around in this car so much, no wonder he sounds like a concussion victim.

Scola:  To be fair, Allen, his hair would have likely protected him from any head trauma.

Scola:  Hey, did You Know that in Argentina, the show was called: El Auto Fantástico.  Much better title.

APV:  Can't believe I just spent ten minutes of my life watching about a hundred Turbo Boosts.

ScolaTEN AWESOME MINUTES!!!

APV:  I don't think on my deathbed I'll be saying, "Man, I wish I'd seen all those Knight Riders with those Turbo Boosts."

Scola:  No, because YOU JUST SAW THEM ALL!  If youtube had existed back then I would never have had to watch the series. I could have just watched that. OVER AND OVER.

Hey everyone.  Just a quick note to everyone I may have had drunken and unprotected sex with in the last few months.

Something appears to be amiss *downstairs*.  Seriously, I don't know what's going on down there, but it's not good.  If you lot find similar incongruities going on in that particular area, might want to get it checked out.

Cuz, if I may quote the late ODB:  "I ain't sayin I got it.  BUT IF I GOT IT NIGGA YOU GOT IT!"
